Cinnamon Apple Tart Cherry Crumble

Fruit Filling
- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup tart cherries, pitted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Crumble Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine apples, tart cherries, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Transfer the fruit mixture to a baking dish.
In another bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the fruit.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
