Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cans Great Northern Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Green Chiles, diced
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cup Cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add shredded chicken, beans, green chiles, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.
  5. Season with cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Stir in sour cream and heavy cream. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
