  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
