  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon butter softened
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and dry the sweet potatoes. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  3. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut each potato in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh into a mixing bowl, leaving a small border of potato intact.
  5. Add the butter, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the sweet potato flesh. Mash until smooth and well combined.
  6. Spoon the mixture back into the sweet potato skins. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until heated through and slightly browned on top.
