Ingredients 

Gyro Meat

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Process until finely chopped.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb and beef with the onion mixture until well combined.
  4. Press the meat mixture into a baking dish, forming a loaf shape.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
