Ingredients 

Fish and Marinade

  • 1 lb white fish fillets such as tilapia or cod
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • ¼ cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Tacos

  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cabbage shredded
  • ½ cup cilantro chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion diced
  • 1 medium avocado sliced
  • 1 lime lime wedges for serving

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine tequila, lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add fish fillets and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until opaque and cooked through.
  3. 3. Warm tortillas on the grill or skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  4. 4. Assemble tacos by placing pieces of fish on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, cilantro, red onion, and avocado slices. Serve with lime wedges.
