Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 8 pieces tortillas

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers under cold water.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the hibiscus flowers and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Strain the hibiscus flowers and set aside.
  4. 4. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  5. 5. Add the chopped tomato, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Add the hibiscus flowers to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. 7. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  8. 8. Serve the hibiscus mixture on the warm tortillas and enjoy!
