Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese optional

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for a few more minutes until everything is well combined.
  4. Stuff each bell pepper with the turkey mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil, sprinkle with cheese if using, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
