Strawberry Basil Panna Cotta

Ingredients 

Panna Cotta

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ¼ cup Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. 2. Sprinkle the gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. 3. Stir the gelatin mixture into the warm cream mixture until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture into ramekins and let cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  5. 5. Before serving, top with sliced strawberries and chopped basil leaves.
