Ingredients 

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Slowly add warm water, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and add baking powder. Knead for another 5 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into an oval shape.
  7. Fold each oval in half and place on parchment paper squares.
  8. Let the buns rest for 15 minutes.
  9. Steam the buns for 10-12 minutes until puffed and cooked through.
