- 6 large apples peeled, cored, and chopped
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup brown sugar packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
1. Place the peeled, cored, and chopped apples into the slow cooker.
2. Add water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir to combine.
3. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Once the apples are soft, use a wooden spoon to mash them to your desired consistency.
5. Stir in the lemon juice. Let cool before serving or storing.
