Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar for caramel
  • 1 can Sweetened condensed milk 14 oz
  • 1 can Evaporated milk 12 oz
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until golden. Carefully pour hot caramel into a baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour mixture over caramel in the baking dish.
  4. Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with hot water halfway up the sides of the baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until set.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving. To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
