Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 800 g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. 3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  4. 4. Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Bring to a simmer.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti.
