Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 2 units Eggs
  • 2.75 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar for rolling
  • 2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon for rolling

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and 1.5 cups of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the ground cinnamon.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are soft. Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
