Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

Main Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup white wine or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
- ¼ cup parsley, chopped
- ½ cup butter unsalted
- to taste salt and pepper
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
4. Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 2 minutes.
5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
