  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes with a cookie cutter.
  5. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  6. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
