  • 2 pounds mussels cleaned and debearded
  • 1 cup sake
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 bunch green onions sliced

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, combine sake, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the mussels to the pot, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the mussels open up.
  3. 3. Discard any mussels that do not open. Sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
