Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper roasted
  • 2 tablespoon Tahini
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin ground
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Water as needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Roast the red bell pepper until charred, about 10 minutes. Let it cool, then peel and remove seeds.
  2. 2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, roasted red pepper, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  3. 3. If the hummus is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. 4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
