Ingredients

  • 1 cup Long grain rice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the rice and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is lightly toasted.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, add salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
