Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Ribeye steaks about 1 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 2 sprigs Thyme

Instructions 

  1. 1. Take the ribeye steaks out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  3. 3. Season the steaks generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. 4. Place the steaks in the hot skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  5. 5. During the last minute of cooking, add the smashed garlic and thyme to the skillet.
  6. 6. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
