Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon dill seeds
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

Instructions 

  1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes. Cool and peel them.
  2. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, peppercorns, dill seeds, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Place eggs, garlic, and onion in a jar.
  4. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the eggs. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
