Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Chard stems cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, and peppercorns. Bring to a boil.
  2. 2. Add chard stems to the boiling mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. 4. Transfer chard stems and liquid to a jar. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
