Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 unit egg large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 unit eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  5. Stir in pecan halves. Pour filling into crust.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes or until set. Cool before serving.
