Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 cups milk or water
  • 2 cups peaches fresh or canned, diced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, bring milk (or water) to a boil.
  2. 2. Stir in oats, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3. Add peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well.
  4. 4. Continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, until the oatmeal is thick and creamy.
  5. 5. Serve hot, optionally topped with additional peaches and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
