  • 4 slices Bread preferably sourdough
  • 1 cup Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 4 tablespoon Fig Jam
  • 2 tablespoon Butter softened

Instructions 

  1. 1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. 2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread fig jam evenly.
  3. 3. Sprinkle grated Parmigiano-Reggiano over the fig jam.
  4. 4. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
  5. 5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet.
  6. 6. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. 7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
