  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest grated

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, olive oil, orange juice, and orange zest until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
