Onion and Gruyere Grilled Cheese Recipe
A delicious grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese.

- 4 slices Bread Preferably sourdough
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese Grated
- 1 large Onion Thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoon Butter Room temperature
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
2. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
4. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
5. Add a layer of Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions.
6. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
7. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
