Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Butter cold, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Cold water
  • 3 large Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme fresh, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water and mix until dough forms. Roll out dough and fit into a tart pan.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Spread onions over the tart crust.
  4. Sprinkle grated cheese and thyme over the onions. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.
