Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Chicken thighs
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup Hot sauce
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • enough to submerge chicken Oil for frying
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • for serving Pickles
  • for serving White bread

Instructions 

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce for at least 1 hour.
  2. Mix flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  3. Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
  5. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt butter and mix in cayenne, brown sugar, and a bit of frying oil.
  7. Brush hot mixture over fried chicken.
  8. Serve on white bread with pickles.
