Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
