Main Ingredients
- 4 large Egg whites at room temperature
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until foamy.
Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.
Gradually add the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, beating on high until stiff, glossy peaks form.
Beat in the vanilla extract.
Drop mounds of meringue onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 60 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the meringues cool in the oven for 1 hour.
