Main Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 ripe mangoes peeled and sliced
Rinse the glutinous rice until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Drain the rice and steam it in a steamer for about 20-30 minutes until cooked.
In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk, sugar, and salt over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Do not boil.
Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a bowl and pour ¾ of the coconut milk mixture over it. Stir well and let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the liquid.
Serve the sticky rice with sliced mangoes and drizzle the remaining coconut milk mixture on top.
