Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lentils rinsed
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft.
  3. 3. Add the rinsed lentils, water, salt, and cumin. Stir well.
  4. 4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until lentils are tender.
  5. 5. Serve warm.
