- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest freshly grated
- 1 teaspoon dried lavender crushed
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually add the flour, lemon zest, crushed lavender, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes.
Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
