Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. 3. Add asparagus to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Stir in lemon zest and juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
