Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice rinsed and soaked for 30 minutes
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat ghee in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add soaked and drained rice, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add water and salt, bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes until rice is done.
  6. 6. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
