Ingredients

  • 1 lb dried black beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions 

  1. Rinse and sort the black beans.
  2. Add beans, water, salt, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder to the Instant Pot.
  3. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  4. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  5. Open the lid, stir the beans, and serve.
