Hungarian Goulash Recipe
A hearty and traditional Hungarian stew made with beef, onions, and paprika.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 large carrots, sliced
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides. Remove beef and set aside.
In the same pot, add onions and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Return beef to the pot. Stir in paprika, caraway seeds, marjoram, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add beef broth, carrots, potatoes, bell pepper, and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until beef is tender.
Adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
