Main Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice uncooked
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 stick cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon for garnish
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a blender, combine the rice, water, and cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon are roughly ground.
Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours, or overnight for a more intense flavor.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
Stir in the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serve over ice and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
