Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice uncooked
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a blender, combine the rice, water, and cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon are roughly ground.
  3. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours, or overnight for a more intense flavor.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
  5. Stir in the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
