Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water.
  2. In a blender, combine rice, cinnamon sticks, and 2 cups of water. Blend until the rice and cinnamon sticks are roughly ground.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl, add the remaining 2 cups of water, and let it soak for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Discard the solids.
  5. Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
