Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then roll out into a circle about ¼ inch thick.
Place the rolled-out dough onto the hot baking sheet and bake for 3-5 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and cover with a kitchen towel to keep them soft. Repeat with remaining dough.
