warm milk
2

sugar
2.25
teaspoon
active dry yeast
3
cup
all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon
salt
1

egg
4
tablespoon
butter, softened
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, egg, and butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
Cover and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.
