Hasselback Potato Recipe

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoon butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh herbs chopped (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and dry the potatoes. Using a sharp knife, make thin slices across each potato, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet. Brush them with olive oil, making sure to get oil in between the slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter and minced garlic. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
