Instructions
1. In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
2. Add the diced ham, carrots, and celery. Cook for about 5 minutes.
3. Add the soaked beans, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 90 minutes, or until beans are tender.
5. Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.
