Garlic Parmesan Macaroni

- 8 oz macaroni
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Stir in flour and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
4. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Add cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
