Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread, cubed
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Place bread cubes in the baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour egg mixture over the bread, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar. Drizzle over the top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set.
