Falafel Mixture
- 1 cup Chickpeas canned or cooked
- ½ cup Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- ¼ cup Fresh Parsley chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 2 tablespoon Flour
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil for frying
Burger Assembly
- 4 Burger Buns
- 1 cup Lettuce shredded
- 1 Tomato sliced
- ½ cup Cucumber sliced
- ¼ cup Tahini Sauce
1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, baking powder, and flour. Pulse until mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
4. Assemble the burgers by placing a falafel patty on each bun, then top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and tahini sauce.
