Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Olive oil
  • ¾ cup Water room temperature
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the olive oil, water, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
