Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the milk in a saucepan until it's just about to boil.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and creamy.
  3. 3. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. 6. Pour the custard into serving dishes and let it cool before serving.
