Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread, cubed day-old or slightly stale
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sage, dried
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and celery, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, cooked onion and celery, dried cranberries, and chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the chicken broth over the mixture and add the sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
